Outpatient Services

A child outpatient program is the lowest level of outpatient care, with the number of days and hours per day based on the client’s clinical needs as well as their personal goals and the goals of the family. A pediatrics treatment team will work with the family to build a discharge plan following outpatient programming. At Kids Thrive, our child Outpatient Program may segue into or overlap with our Continuing Care program, which provides support for clients and families via text and live video sessions.

Outpatient Counseling

Individual and family counseling services are provided to assist clients in transitioning successfully from the Day Treatment program. Counseling services assist the client with addressing underlying thoughts and feelings related to external behaviors. The service consists of structured sessions that are designed to help the client with reaching the treatment goals on their individualized service plan. Providers are trained to utilize a trauma-focused approach to assist children with exploring trauma in a safe environment to help them process and develop healthy coping skills. Family counseling sessions are incorporated to assist the child with improving positive relationships with their primary caretakers and provide the family with psycho-education.

Sessions occur 1-2 times per week

Family Counseling – Supporting the Parent-Child Relationship During Outpatient Treatment

• Parents will be contacted either in person or via phone call at a minimum of one time per week.
• Family therapy sessions will be provided. (as appropriate and applicable)

Outpatient Treatment For Children – Cincinnati, Ohio

We offer outpatient programs for children which are less intensive than day treatment and intensive outpatient treatment but still allow the child to have continued and regular support once or twice a week. We are located in Cincinnati, Ohio and we are always happy to answer any questions you may have. We are committed to helping your child progress.
