Types of Child Outpatient Treatment
We know that each child is unique, and it is essential for them to receive the level of care that is right for them. That’s why Kids Thrive child Outpatient Program offers three options: Day Treatment, School Based Day Treatment, and Therapeutic Education.

Day Treatment Program
This level of care, with programming all day, five days a week, is often a solution for children who need more than an hour of individual therapy a week, but who do not quite qualify for a residential level of care. A Day Treatment Program offers comprehensive clinical care through individual therapy, group therapy, and a stabilizing routine five days a week, and children return home to their families and homes at the end of each day.
School-Based Day Treatment
Our School-Based Day Treatment program provides structured, therapeutic support within an academic-focused environment, helping children build the skills they need to succeed both emotionally and educationally.
This program integrates behavioral health services with academic instruction, allowing children to continue their education while receiving consistent therapeutic support throughout the day. Our team works closely with each child to improve emotional regulation, social skills, focus, and classroom behavior in a setting that mirrors real-life school expectations.
With collaboration between clinicians, educators, and families, School-Based Day Treatment ensures each child receives individualized support while maintaining academic progress. This approach helps bridge the gap between treatment and school, creating a smoother transition back to traditional classroom settings when appropriate.

Therapeutic Education
Our Therapeutic Education program offers structured, skills-based support designed to help children better understand their emotions, behaviors, and daily challenges in a safe and supportive environment.
Through guided, age-appropriate sessions, children learn practical strategies for emotional regulation, communication, problem-solving, and coping with stress. This program emphasizes real-world application, empowering children to use these skills at home, in school, and in social settings.
Our team works closely with both children and their families to reinforce progress, ensuring that learned skills carry over into everyday life. By building confidence, resilience, and independence, Therapeutic Education supports long-term growth and continued success beyond the program.
